Steven P. Conley, Director of Bands

Steven P. Conley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland in Instrumental Music Education and has studied at the graduate level at the University of Richmond, West Chester University, Virginia Commonwealth University and Radford University. He is a member of the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA), the Music Educators National Conference, the Virginia Music Educators Association, the Chesterfield Educators Association, the Virginia Educators Association and the National Educators Association.

Mr. Conley has directed many Honor Bands across the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has adjudicated concert bands at VBODA District Band Festivals and he has also judged high school marching bands at music festivals and parades throughout Virginia. On New Year's Day 1998, Mr. Conley adjudicated bands from around the world at the Paris Parade and Music Festivals in Paris, France.

Steve Conley has been a music educator since 1983 and began teaching at Clover Hill High School in 1986. Under his direction, the Clover Hill High School Band has performed in Toronto, Canada; twice in The Bahamas; Paris, France; twice in London, England; four times in Disney World; in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland; and in New Orleans, LA. The Clover Hill High School Band has been recognized as a Commonwealth of Virginia Honor Band. They have received commendations for exceptional accomplishments and superior musicianship from the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors and the Commonwealth of Virginia's General Assembly. Governor George Allen recognized Mr. Conley and the Clover Hill High School Band Program. In his message the governor stated, "The outstanding musical ability and dedication of this band has brought them a richly earned international reputation for excellence."

Mr. Conley, a trumpeter, is a member of the Old Dominion Brass Quintet. He resides in Midlothian, Virginia with his wife, Shirley, and their two children, Chris and Shannon.

Jamie Schiller

Jamie is a native of Baldwinsville, NY and has over 15 years of experience in the color guard activity. Jamie has marched with numerous world class organizations including the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps, the Syracuse Brigadiers Drum & Bugle Corps and Winter Guard, and the Patriots Drum & Bugle Corps and Winter Guard. She has also taught several marching band and winter guard programs in Upstate New York, most notably the Cicero-North Syracuse Winter Guard - WGI Scholastic A Class Champions and Open Class Semi-finalists. Jamie is currently the color guard caption head for the Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps.
